Steve has a degree in History and Secondary Education. He is the son of his mentor, the late James H. Brosemer, RLS #82. In the last 33 years, Steve has been an owner or partner in his current business, GeoTech, Inc., and has provided land surveying services of every possible type to both the private and public sectors. Steve served as President of KSLS in 1988 and 1989, and is currently a member of the KSLS Charitable Foundation Board. Steve is a former Chair of the KSBTP, and the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and is a Trustee of the Lyon County Historical Society.

Norm has spent almost his entire career in county road work and surveying. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas University and has been a professional surveyor since 1972 and a professional engineer since 1976. He worked for Marion County from 1972 to 1976. He was Coffey County Engineer from 1982 to 1987. He worked for Johnson County from 1987 to 2006 with the last 10 years as county engineer. While county engineer in Johnson County he initiated and implemented the county vertical and horizontal control network. He was Local Road Engineer for the Kansas Association of Counties from 2007 to 2020.
Norm was President of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors in 1981 and the Kansas County Highway Association in 2000 and 2002. He is a life member of the American Public Works Association, Kansas Society of Land Surveyors, and the National Association of County Engineers. He has been Chairman of the KSLS Minimum Standards Committee since 2015 and was a member of the committee that formulated the first minimum standards in 1980. Norm has written more than 50 articles that have been published in Section Lines, the quarterly magazine of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors, and has spoken at many surveying seminars. |
